Hello all,

I'm sure I'm being a doofus but how are you supposed to remove the rear wheel on a Raleigh strada ebike when it has the shimano steps system on it? The gear shift mechanism is clearly in the way and all I can think of is to remove the chain tensioner. That seems excessive for something that should be really simple.

Any advice here would be welcome.

Thanks,
Mike

Assuming there is nothing different about the Strada bike, just pop it into the highest gear on the rear wheel and then lift the wheel out through the chain. When replacing the wheel, insert the wheel through the chain and lift the chain back onto the smallest sprocket (ie highest gear).

Thanks for the reply, Shimano step is a hub gear type system so no gear sprockets so to speak :-(

Thanks, I think (with a bit of deduction) I need to remove the chain tensioner. It clearly stops the wheel coming out. Will get some pics and add them to the post for others.
