I know that a few on here are using Satmap active 10 and 12's and I have a quick question.

I realise that you can plan the route to be ridden in advance, but can you also replay the ridden route afterwards, as in.. you go for ride with the system turned on, it records where you have ridden, and this un pre programmed route can then be saved for later use again, or shared with others.

I'm close to buying one now, and that is the only question that I have.

Eddie, yes you can, you can set it you record wherever you ride, termed a 'track', you can then save it as a 'route' on the device. Using the software, Sat sync downloaded from Satmap site you can download your routes to PC (or Mac), as gpx or kml/kmz files. You use this software to upload files to the device.
There is also an online planner, where you can plan, store and share your routes, premium is £20 per yr, personally I think its worth it.
Satmap do a bike kit, which is not bad value, except it only has the Cycle maps installed as well as the base maps, no good if you spend half your life off road!
If you do go ahead and buy I have a set of maps, Sussex, Hants, Kent, Essex, Dorset, Wilts, Ridgeway, quite happy for you to have on very extended loan, I bought a full set of maps, when OS lowered the price of maps and Satmap made theirs available at a new low price.
Let me know if you're interested.
