I have done about 600 miles varied terrain, no puntures on bog standard kenda tyres with slime tubes, today noticed the front tyre was defernately a bit flatter than before.

some time ago I purchased specialised crossroads armadillo, these are I believe are road/offroad use and can be run at 85psi.
so fitted these and went for a ride, I noticed it is harder to peddle without power than with the kendas and feel the bumps in the road a bit more I am at 65 psi.

I went for armadillos rather than marathon + as I thought the armadillos might roll better on tarmac?

anyone found any differences with a change of tire, (kendas 26x2, armadillos 26x1.95)

Tyres make a big difference. I went from cross country tyres to near slicks (schwalbe Fat Frank's) and it was probably the second best upgrade I ever made. Smoother, faster, and less resistance.

If you normally ride on pavement/path/trails then slicks are for you. Schwalbe Big Apple are also good, and lots of people like the marathon series.
