Promax V Brake Replacement?

I badly want to replace the Promax rear V brake on my Wisper 905se. I find it virtually impossible to get them evenly adjusted, and when I do, they soon revert to one side touching the rim and the otherside miles off:(
I'm thinking Shimano, but what model:confused:

Any advice welcome,

John;)

I've got the same problem with the 905E rear wheel but I thought the 905SE rear wheel was more easily adjusted  (i.e it doesn't require a sledgehammer to get it in/out of the rear frame :( ).
I've 'toyed' with the idea of these:

Avid Shorty 4 - Brakes - MTB - 18.99 GBP - Free P & P to UK & Ireland, Cheap International Rates. Next day delivery from Europes Largest Online Bikeshop.

I haven't plucked up the courage to try them yet but when I had similar experiences with side pull brakes on my 30 year old road bike a set of centre pull weinnman brakes sorted it out then (I've still got them but they don't fit modern - supposedly superior  - bike frames)

John,
The brake on my Wisper disintegrated while I was adjusting it before I'd ridden it. I think any V-brake would do. I got the basic shimano one from my local Evans, mainly because it was black, like the one that broke! Cost was £9.99 and 5 mins to fit. Its been fine.
