I'm looking at the Boardman. The height of the rack is adjustable. it looks like it can go three holes lower, which will allow it to go forward all the way to the seat-post. Even two inches further forward will make a big difference to the handling. The same with the height - the lower the better.

sadly it wont, if you take it down another hole the bottom bracket catches the frame. so its about as low as it will go without modifying the rack, it could be done. being honest the Boardman turned into a chew for a few reasons, 1st one i made and it was built from different bits. the carrera turned out to be easy. ive had my 1st rides and i think i will try to cut my looses and sell the boardman. not sure what it would ride like on rough toraine, but it goes quite well on the road.

well, the boardman is in a comfortable position for me, the carrera is a diffrent reason. i bought the bike from a family member who is 6ft 4 and as i'm 5ft 9 i had to put the seat right down for me. but as i perfer low seat and high bars there fine for me, i hate being bent over 2 much.

sunshine's lovely so decide to go out on my first bigger test ride. didn't go well lol, got about 100 yards and the PAS stopped working. after a big checking and trying the throttle (wasn't working) i got it down to the inline brake senors. i put them into the caliper end. notice they don't sit right. i changed the front one to the handlebar end and it solved the problem. went to go out again and the throttle didn't work lol. found that fault straight away as i new the connector block wasn't very good (going to change it) so ive give up for today lol
