This might be of interest for non-CAN bus Bafang mid-drive owners with Apple Mac computers. I can't find the threads, but last year a couple of people with Macs asked if there was a tool which they could use. They didn't own Android devices either. I posted a link to this online browser based configuration tool, warning that I haven't used it. I don't own any Apple devices.

Those OPs never reported back with a result, but I happened to notice this video, which shows it working with a Mac. Perhaps Mac users with Bafang mid-drives will find this via a Google search.
