Had an old s/h izip for about 2 years, no problems till one day I smelt burning! the whole electric inc motor windings melted,, now bought a mountain trailz Al no batteries or pack but have case and 2x 14AH recent batteries, tried a mock up all ok could feel "drive coming in" so did the real thing on turning on no lights lit so opened throttle, I was stood at side of bike, the thing shot forward at flat out revs and proceeded to climb up a tiled wall! there are still front wheel tyre marks over 6ft high, finally managed to turn the thing off via changeover switch under seat. I have checked the wiring I did, all is ok have chocked bike up with rear wheel off ground and fault persists, flat out as soon as you turn on, there is a red button, under throttle lights "on/off" this does nothing, is it like the panic switch on motorcycles? anyone have any idea,s? (suspect bike been standing awhile

`When they go full power on their own, it means that the FETs are blown in the controller. If you're any good at electronics, you can replace them, otherwise you need a new controller, which won't cost much.

I've seen handprints on tne ceiling, and even footprints, never thought I'd hear of tyre tracks! I assume you've taken a photo so you can look back and laugh in years to come?
