Problem with cne bike kit just fitted

just fitted a cne-bike conversion kit with front wheel hub.
The motor will only run if I spin the wheel backwards and push the thumb switch the ,motor runs for about 4 seconds and cuts out. Any ideas wha could be at fault.

Show us a pic of the front wheel in the forks, also don't spin the wheel using the throttle as you may cause damage until the motor is running correctly.
It is possible that the motor phase wires (yellow/blue/green) are wrong and need swapping over the issue with this is there are 36 combos and only a few will work properly. If it is wrong phase combo then I can post a chart with all the variations to try.
Does it have a peddle sensor and magnet disc ?

Hi , Nealh, will try and load a photo tomorrow. There is no pedal assist in the kit. On the wire loom there are all connectors male and female that match. The one that might be for pedal assist has what looks like a bridging blanking plug if this makes sense.

I think I might have found the fault there is a brake in a thin wire where it comes out of the hub spindle. Thanks for your help Nealh. Will keep you posted when l find the time to rectify.

That could be a bit tricky to repair can you post a pic of the break area.
