shift to cheaper vehicles is the key.
EVs should be cheaper and simpler to make than ICE cars anyway, especially for small and light city cars.

@lenny I would add & encourge those seeking debt solutions to invest time into searching charities & insolvency (GOV) services before resorting to solutions found on the net or IVA's, these might be their only viable options granted but it's worth stepping back and seeking advice first as these "alternatives" can have to hefty up front charges.

Not with BYD overtaking Tesla.

It's BYD's Seal model that has leapt past Tesla's Model 3 both sides of the pond, and from £45640 here for example it's more than Tesla's Model 3 at £42990.

There's probably more to this than price though, eventually some of the mud would have to stick to Tesla, especially all their adverse battery news.

Wouldn't worry BYD though, they are primarily a top battery manufacturer making lithium batteries for other car makers too.

The key feature of this monumental vessel lies in its propulsion system – a cutting-edge fourth-generation molten salt reactor utilizing thorium, a radioactive metal abundant and cost-effective in China.

Leveraging technological expertise from the United States, France, and Russia, China has carved out a strategic edge with its cutting-edge thorium-powered molten salt nuclear reactor, situated in the stark expanses of the Gobi Desert.

covid jab kills 17-23 million world wide was worse than useless, yay :p

Dose too little, and you don’t get enough enzyme to affect the disease; dose too much, and the drug is too toxic for patients.

This is a complete load of rubbish. Just cut out the stupid anti-vax ******. The various COVID-19 vaccinations have saved hundreds of millions of lives.

That's an interesting statement. I'm sitting on the fence. Can you name one person out of those hundreds of millions, who's life was saved by the vaccine, because I can name several, who have death certificates that say died of complications from covid 19 vaccine?

Individually they wouldn't know their life was saved, they would most likely just have a milder Covid 19 infection or not got an infection at all. You can still estimate the number that have been saved by studying the age standardised death rates of vaccinated vs un-vaccinated to naive infection

Somebody debunked that data. Basic logic says it's not right. At end 22 only about 60 people per week had Covid on their death certs in UK, and many of them didn't die of covid. They died of all sorts of other things, like suicide, car crash and cancer as the main cause. The UK population is around 60 million, so the supposed Covid death rate was about 0.1 per 100,000. That graph shows unvaccinated death rate from covid at 0.4, so they must have included deaths that were were nothing to do with covid, vaccinated or not.

Sorry - which graph in particular ?
Post 1314
Compare with this data:

The thumbnail for UK in that data you provided shows the unvaccinated death rate at end 22 as around 25/100,00 compared with the ONS covid death rate as 0.1, which means that only one of each 250 unvaccinated deaths was anything to do with covid, and therefore you would expect an equivalent number of vaccinated deaths.

The guy, who debunked it did show how they were double counting, but I can't remember the details. It might have been something to do with making the data age-related.
