Powacycle Milan 2 Battery Pack (LPX)

Hi,
I was given a Milan 2 eBike with a LPX battery pack, however, it keeps cutting out and I was planning on rebuilding the cells as I have done this for previous eBikes.
The pack has 4 screws, a ignition key switch and a charging connector (looks like an RCA AV jack), I've taken the 4 screws out but the case won't budge much, I don't want to damage the case so thought i'd ask if anyone had any advice on how to get the pack apart, I can't see a nut as such on the charging jack but it might just be my old eyesight.

First place to look for additional screws is under any stuck on labels. If there is fierce resistance to being opened there will usually be more fixings.

Pictures might help.

I'll see about getting some photos, I am at work at the mo so don't have it with me, I am sure some folk must have opened them I have seen some older posts on here where people have said they've opened them. I checked the labels, can't feel anything obvious, the places where the screws were come apart slightly but it feels like there is still something holding on. Might be clips might be something else.

It is clips on some of these batteries. They take the form of two small, thin rectangular extensions of each case side with a central hole. These slide inside the other case half sides and latch onto small matching projections there.

You need to be s little brutal in using a thin blade such a a thin screwdriver to lever beween the two halves on one side at around a third and two thirds. if you locate one of the extensions push it inwards to disengage the latch, then try for the second one. With both disengaged on one side you can then tilt that side to disengage the two latches on the other side.

Sometime a latch will break off but that doesn't matter since you still have the four screws (usually self tappers on Powacycle cases) to hold the case together afterwards.

Thanks for the info, I did look for clips but there was none on the sides, the battery itself looks identical (apart from it is grey and not scuffed, and the charger port is different) to this one: https://www.flickr.com/photos/johnbullas/albums/72157645457457943/
Which at first glance looks like it is just the 4 screws holding it on.

My battery is a 36V 8Ah / 288WH LPX

The clips cannot be seen on the closed case, they slide inside the other half and latch inside the case sides.

I can't say the Milan LPX case has them but some of Powacycles other models cases did.

Oh I see, apologies I thought you meant the outside of the case, well, I can try and find something thin and wide to fit in, maybe a wallpaper scraper I would like to try and not damage the plastic too much if I can help it.
I'll have a look either later or tomorrow to see if I can "find" any clips.

There were 2 tabs 1 either side in the middle of the case, it became much looser but something was still holding on but it must have just been stuck because with brute force it came apart!

Thats good, as I mentioned it's sometimes necessary to be a little brutal to open these cases.

Yes, it was the foam pads sticking to the battery pack they put in the top of the case, was REALLY stuck in there!
