Possible to test pedal sensor?

I have a pedal sensor with a led that doesn’t light up. Not sure if it ever did. It has a 3 pin (Julet?) connector.
I am suspecting this as a culprit but have no way of testing it. Is there a way to test if it’s faulty?

if it has a LED, the LED must flash when you pedal.

The joys of Julet, one way of testing is to make up a special julet Y- lead with a sm block connector or similar on one of the Y ends. Then you can probe via the block connector.
The other way to test is direct off the wires on the controller pcb, 5v between the gnd & 5v and then one should see voltage switching between Gnd & Signal when the magnets pass the sensor head of approx 1v - 4 odd volts.

First though check sensor/mag disc alignment and the gap is about 1-2mm max, the led should light up when and blink as a magnet passes. Make sure no pins are bent or misaligned.

A 'Y' lead to plug in between is quite easy to make up one needs two julets (one M/one F) with tails and a 3 pin block connector, wire the wires in matching pairs to the block connector and then connector then Y lead in between the controller /PAS Julets, probe the block connector for voltage, would also work for throttle and ext speed sensor testing as they would use all use the same Yellow 3 pin julet.
A simple household AC screw strip connectors will do or if you know a sparks one of these nice Wago 3 way wire joiners.
