The motor power is measured in watts. A motor of X watts will keep going at its fixed rate of power for longer the more stored energy it has available. The stored energy is measured in Amp Hours (AH).

So the figures you need to compare are the watts of the motor for power and the AH of the battery for distance.

More watts = more power, more AH = more distance.

Batteries don't have power, only capacity, but the capacity is in watt hours. Watt hours are derived from the battery voltage times the battery nominal capacity.

Your Kalkhoff battery is 26 volts 16 Ah, so that totals 416 watt hours (Wh).

The Bosch one is 37 volts 8 Ah which totals 296 watt hours, so the higher voltage reduces the apparent difference.

Any power difference results from the motor and controller combination and not battery capacity. Watt hours are like petrol in cars, more or less petrol in a tank doesn't make a car more or less powerful.

Hi Motors are in watts volt X Amps so a 36 volt battery with A 7 Amp controller = 252 Watts

Motor Power

Battery's are in watt Hours for short WH so A 36 volt 10AH Battery = 36 X 10 = 360 WH

So your kalkhoff Battery is probably 24 volts X 16 AH = 384 WH

The haibike Battery 36 volts X 8 AH = 288 WH

so the kalkhoff should have a longer Range

to be legal the 250 watts power off the motor should be the same If it is fitted with a 350 watt motor it is a Moped
