We all have pet loves/hates

One thing that always amazes me is ........... Single prong sidestand installation on e-bikes

I know cost and weight are factors BUT with experience of our deceased bikes in windy or muddy conditions its sad to see a bike collapse in a heap and potentially damage many expensive items

I have been trying to find after market 2 prong stands and they are few and far between frequently expensive AND often no suitable mounting point

I stand to be corrected

Alan carry a puck to put under the propstand and lean it away from the wind . Honda were giving them away free a few years ago , approx. 4 x 3 inches with a 0.25 inch rim , made of plastic . A large pickle jar lid would do .

or pop into motorcycle dealers as they are very popular for motorcycles where a fall over is even more expensive

This is the stand my wife uses with the mounting plate (if required).
Hebie Double stand 0605
She also got a steering damper from them at same time.
It was a great improvement and safer.
I have also had front & rear carriers from them which I have been very pleased with.

After years of motorcycle rallying in muddy fields, I can tell you that a single side-stand is better than a two-legged one, which'll sink in just as quickly, but is harder to deal with.If you can get one of those official plastic bases that they sometimes give away at motorbike race meetings, they're the best, but not far behind is any flat piece of wood or plastic about 100mm diameter, then a flattened coke or beer can, then a twig (carefully positioned). I can also tell you that when a motorbike sinks in it's normally expensive - much more than an electric bike, which you'll be unlucky to damage.

Now you are reminding me what I should know !!! Prior to Pedelecs i used to tow behind my m/h a 2-bike trailer . One of the bikes was a Yamaha WR250 and this bike spent many a day on the floor due to high winds , boggy ground etc. UNTIL the penny dropped and i started using a piece of wood maybe 6x6" it still fell over sometimes but much less than before
