HI all

Not sure if this in the right place but I need to get a new rear wheel for my bike due to the fact a few spokes have broken and bent the rim, so I guess the rim maybe beyond repair.
I'm East London but have no problem posting the rim away for it to fixed or a new one built.

Any recommendation of places people have used before?

Many thanks

Is your bike rear wheel hub driven, in which case rebuilding is probably worth while.
Or is this just a regular rear wheel you need; plenty from all the bike shops and on eBay/Amzon.

It's a hub driven one, so was thinking more or a new built one more than a rebuild, I just can't seem to find a place that what i'm looking for, so hoping someone has been in the same boat and can point me to a good place.

Cheers for the reply.

You need to say a little more about the bike/motor. If it is a 'generic' Chinese motor then replacing it with another similar one should not be a problem. If it is in any way proprietary/special it an obvious replacement may not be compatible with the rest of the electrics. (I probably won't be able to advise further, but the more knowledgeable people here will need that information to be able to give good advice.)

The motor\hub it's self is fine, just the rim (broken spokes) that needs to be replaced or repaired, the rim size is 27.5, the e-bike is a swifty AT656.

Often a few broken spokes may warp the rim out of true but usually doesn't mean the rim is buckled. Finding a shop who can work on hub motor wheels isn't easy as their trueing stand may not except the larger axle or are willing to do the work.
Give Hatti a ring at Woosh or speak to Tony as Woosh may be able to sort it out for you, Btw they are in Southend so not many millions of miles away from East London.

Awesome, thank you so much for the info, I have kinda made my mind up that a new rim is needed from a cost point of view, but if it turns out not to be then that is a bonus.

Ironically, Swifty appear to be based in Southend too. Their "Customer Care Hotline" is:

info@swiftyebike.com Tel: 01702 300100

the phone number comes back as belonging to a heat contractor
That number, as posted on their current website www.swiftyebike.com, is in fact disconnected. There is a new Southend number now listed for Swifty Customer Service which is 01702 208187.
