Congratulations Lectural, I hope you will be vey happy with your Raleigh and I'm sure you will be. Easycycles certainly seem to have a very wide selection of electric bikes an I think you now have one of the best.

Thanks Aldby - my only problem so far is that I need to learn German to read the manual - has anyone seen an Agattu manual in English for download anywhere?

I've put one on a webspace of mine for you lectureral. :)

Kalkhoff English Language Manual

There's one small error in it. The battery should be charged until all five LEDs extinguish, not until they go on as shown, since that leaves it substantially short charged.

Thanks Flecc - it is a tribute to this site (and your valuable help) that there is nothing there I did not know about from reading various threads.

One problem I ran into was that the chain kept jumping (skipping a link). I had a look and there is a sprung tensioner - I loosened the allen screw and the tensioner moves more freely and the problem seems to have disappeared. Did I do right?

Yes, that should be ok. The pivot is sent out dry and it's best to oil it to make sure it's free. Make sure the allen bolt doesn't loosen off though, and once the pivots are oiled you'll probably be able to tighten it a bit again. Photo here with bike upside down.

We've had a thread about this link jumping due to the tight pivot, it seems to be common to most of the new Panasonic units. With a little wear it should stay free in future.
