If it's not too wet for cycling its often too cold for cycling, and when it's neither of those like today in the south, it's too damn hot and humid for cycling.

One day it has to be perfect, doesn't it?

Yes, typical temperate climate variations. I'm not complaining though, in fact I have always functioned better when it's hot like today. It was quite comfortably warm when setting off early to ride the twenty-four mile "Four Lakes Tour". It started to get a bit sticky as I stopped at the fourth lake, the water looked invitingly cool....the resident cob had the final say in the matter! :)

I just went walking in the adjacent woodlands, it being somewhat cooler under the trees and plenty of chances to stop and relax.

We got off to a cloudy start up here, but it is really starting to heat up again now the cloud has gone.

If one could get a choice, I prefer to be complaining about hot weather than the other options

Oh no; that last fortnight of baking weather was bloody awful - I couldn't get anything done outside or inside, just had to keep cool as much as possible.
Last two or three days it's been persisting down here, got plenty of inside stuff done though; but not stuck my nose outside at all.
Weather? Pah.

Went out today and bought two cheap fans to keep the motor and battery cool over night whilst I sweat like a pig in bed.

The coolest place I found yesterday was riding an electric bike in the shade of a tree lined cycle path, that is until I got to the Post Office where the air con made it feel like walking into a fridge, I was so glad to get back out into the fresh warm air again.

I couldnt get cool at all yesterday, I just kept getting hotter and hotter, especially whilst talking on the phone, but at least I managed not to glow or perspire ....OR crackle like a pig lol

Had a couple of local tasks yesterday. Thought the ebike would be ideal and quicker.

Ended up with sunstroke. Didnt think I would make it back home at one point.
Collapsed when I finally got in.

Still prefer warm to cold or wet given the choice

I like my air-con unit at home, it's good to have some really cool air from time to time, especially after overheating outside.

I bought and installed mine in the very hot spell in 2006, but this year is the first time it's been seriously used since. Most of the intervening years it's either not been on once or only for one or two days.
