The wife's Pendleton bike doesn't seem to kick in the motor when cycling, The bike has been very lighly used less than 10 miles from new.

The 790 display as one light flashing while the battery is showing a full charge, any ideas on the the issue

Low light flashing means that there's a higher current than there should be. Check that the motor connector is pusshed in all the way to the marked line, not just in tight.

thanks for the response,

I'm guessing you mean this connector need the rear wheel, it seems to be fully in.

Looks OK. Pull it apart and check inside just in case, then push it back together - all the way.

Check the motor cable for damage where it comes out of the axle, then everywhere else.

The next thing is to look at any connectors the other end. The controller is in the compartment at the front of the battery. check out any connectors to it, then look in the compartment to see if you can see anything odd in there.
