Hello,

I have a Pendleton Somerby ebike which I have had for a few months.

First ride was great, charged the battery up and by memory, the charger light was green and the green lights on the battery light up per percentage it was charged to.

Went out this week, battery died on my ride ( thought it definitely said fully charged, as did the handlebars but probably my mistake!), so got home to charge it, plugged in and charger was red, battery light on 20%.

Left it a few hours and when I went to check the charger light was green but the battery light was still on 20%. When I hold the battery on button down for 1 sec, all the lights show up green. Turn it off and on and still 20% on battery lights.

When plugged in to the bike, battery light 20% but handlebar grip says fully charged? Does this mean the bike is definitely charged? I don't want to go out on it and it run out on me!

I was going to put it on charge over night but I don't want to if it's already done?! Why can't the lights just show 100% if it's 100%?!

Thanks in advance for your help

The only way to check is by using a digital meter and take a voltage reading via the battery discharge port, any fully charged reading should be 41.5v - 42v for a 36v nominal battery. Led battery or display lights are a bit gimmicky and shouldn't be relied upon.
