Finding my (electric) wheels

Hi
I have a Pendleton Somerby evoke and yesterday the chain came off. I put the chain back on and this morning I had no power although all the lights were displayed on the controller. After googling various things it said about the sensor not being lined up. I have worked out where the sensor is and there is nothing to align it with. Can somebody please give me some advice. The sensor light is on but when I turn the pedals it goes off. Any help would be very welcome.
Many thanks

The PAS sensor has a Hall sensor with in , it switches on/off (pulses) each time a magnet passes . There will be a magnet disc attached to the Bottom Bracket axle behind the chain wheel.
It is the magnets in the disc that need to align and pass the sensor head.

The magnet disc it self needs to be firmly attached in place and not able to rotate or move around it's axis by hand , it must only rotate when the pedal crank is turned.

Also the gap between magnet disc face and sensor head needs to be approx. 1mm.

Check the magnet disc for damage , if cracked/broken then a replacement can be bought.

Also check the sensor wiring isn't damaged.

When I now turn the pedals the sensor light flashes and tries to get the motor going, but gives up is there only a bit of tweaking now needed? If that makes sense?

Check the magnet disc is undamaged, attached and spaced correctly.
Clean the magnet disc face if the chain has come off and deposited grime over the magnets.

Hi
Had a chap who works with me have a look and the sensor disc had moved, hence why it was not picking up all the magnets. Now rectified and appears to be working. Thank you so much for your suggestions. Really appreciated.

One now has to find out why the chain threw off to the inside.
Is it worn ?
Are the chain wheel teeth worn ?
If any of these then it will occur again.

For chain wear /stretch accurately measure ten links pin to pin center, anything more then 256mm then the chain needs replacing, if one measures in imperial then twelve links should measure less then 12 1/16th.

For the chain wheel show us a pic of the teeth , if they are pointy or look like sharks teeth then again thye are worn.
