pendelton somersby add throttle

Just bought a pendleton somersby electric bike.
there is a spare cable coming up from the controller with a red inner with 2 pins
is this for a throttle?
if so any ideas where to get one from?

No not throttle.
Two pin outs will be for brakes or a light out put depends if it carries 5v or not.

You need 3 pins for a throttle: 5v, 0v and signal (1v - 4v).

You can add a throttle to most bikes like that if you change the controller to a standard Chinese one.
