Pendalton e-bike Malfunction power assist

Featured Replies

Hello - help! I’ve had my bike for two years with no problems but today I could not change the power assist or turn it off. It was flashing on level 3 assist but no power! Battery shows three quarter charged.

grateful for any advise

I'm sure someone will be along shortly to give you better instructions. But all i can suggest is first go through all the connectors you can see and push on them to check nothings come loose.

At least it is somewhere to make a start.

If your display is the usual KM790, here's the error list.

It suggests a Motor Hall signal error, which may be as simple as the plug on the chain-stay not being pushed all the way in to the line marked on it, so check that first and also look to see if the wire coming out of the motor axle has been scuffed/pulled/abraded/cut/damaged in some way.

Probably the motor connector not pushed in all the way to the line or you have water where you shouldn't oughta. What circumstances caused the error to start or what happened just before that caused it? Problems like that can't happen on their own overnight in a dry garrage.

As has been mentioned it relates to a motor Hall fault, could be a failed motor hall, bad wire connection at the controller, motor cable connector not fully home or a damaged motor wire where it enters the motor axle.

Has the bike fallen over or been damaged , maybe the motor cable has been caught and pulled as mentioned these things don't usually manifest by them selves .
