Peddle assist stopped working

Some time ago my Riverside 500 started making vibrating, humming noises when peddling, losing peddle assist when that happens.

It was intermittent but today the assist stopped altogether. I recorded the noise here.

Electronics are working fine, the display stays on. But no peddle assist.

Any idea what happened?

Probably, the motor connector isn't in far enough. It must reach the marked line. You can do consequential damage from running it like that, so it might not be the end of the story.
