Hello!
I found an problem after replacing bigger chainring to my RKS RSI-X foldable e-bike with 20x4 inch fat tires.
Problem is that in the highest gear the electric assistance stalls. I think that after changing gear ratio the controller goes mad and does not understand the speed and cranking ratio of such.
I already tried to chance parameters at every stage but it did not help. Also checked the basic parameters and they are like they should.
Has anyone got this kind of problems or is there any controller available which has the way to adjust pas enough for massive gear ratio change?
I have seen an KT36 controllers with same kind of connectors. Does it work better?
System:
-250w rear hub motor
-12 magnet pas sensor on front crank
-S866 display with an strange X032-AA003 controller. Controller circuit board has this marking: EB06A4L2R
-Voltage: 36v
I would be glad for help.
Ps: I have positive results of chainring mod before. I have another foldable 20 inch bike that has 60-14 gear ratio and has been working good for two years now. There has not been problem even towing trailer with it, it has even poorer controller with rear hub motor and "on off" manually adjustable 3 stage assistance. with this kind of control system it does not calculate the ratio of the pas and hub so i think that is the cause of its good working.
