Panasonic Battery Charging ?

After Reading the A to B Magazine review of the Agattu (issue 63), I noted that A to B were critical of the stated charging times (max 3-4 hours).
They found it to be more like 6 hours.
Additionally they recommended that even if all the 5 lights on the battery are lit, then you should still leave the battery to charge for another hour before the battery is really, fully charged.

Could any Agattu owners comment to me about your experiences on this matter.

Hope you can help !

Hi Bob,

My limited experience is that it takes well over 4 hours to fully charge the battery - it is more like 5 hours+. By fully charged, I mean that I charge it until all the lights go out as I am pretty sure that it says to do this in the manual.

From completely empty it can even be 6 hours as I found on the test bike.

You may remember I mentioned that A to B weren't fully charging it by stopping change shortly after the five LEDs were lit, as the first manual mistakenly advised.

The LEDs have to go out to achieve full charge.

Thanks Flecc.
So let me get this right.
You place the battery in the charger. The LED's on the battery light up each in turn slowly to all five.
Then you have to wait till all the LED's go out.
Then its fully charged.
This takes about 6 hours?
I suppose if its already charged to some degree, then it will take less time to fully charge?

That's it exactly, until the five LEDs go out, but as you say, the 6 hours will only be if it's totally flattened as sometimes with a new bike.

It doesn't matter if the charger stays connected for a while once the charge is complete, Panasonic only giving 48 hour limit for some unknown reason.
