Hi all. I have an old Emate City of 2011 vintage. In fact I have two having bought a second one from the classified section.

The front light on my original Emate has just stopped working. I include some pictures.

If anyone could help me, maybe with an ebay link or similar, to a light I could buy to replace this one I would be grateful. I did try Oxygen but they are no longer supporting this bike.

I checked it was the light that was at fault by attaching the light I know that works from the other emate and it lit up and worked, so I just need a new compatible light light. As you can see from the pictures the connectors just push on to attach.

I would be grateful for any help

It runs of 36v, so you can fit any low powered one you like that works at that voltage. The original is from Spaninga, but they don't make that one anymore. This one is the nearest equivalent. You'll probably have to do something with your connectors:

The light is now fitted and working well.

Thanks very much VFR for the link. It came quickly from Europe (Holland I think), at a good price, certainly cheaper than amazon, with good communication from the company, and the wiring required was only to push the two connectors from the wires on the bike onto the bayonet connectors on the light, check it worked, take the old light off and attach the new one. 5 minute job.

My son is now using my old Oxygen to commute to his first job in the Town we live in (6 mile round trip) and he came out to look and was "well impressed".

He has just passed his car driving test, so I fear his enthusiasm for riding to work may wane, but we will see. He honestly has really enjoyed it for his first 5 weeks in the job, but I am not so sure how he will feel as winter approaches.

Young people today

Just like we were!, in fact I know I was a lot worse but I don't tell my children, and personally believe that if you are going to have a miss spent youth it is much better to have it when you are young and get it out of your system to avoid the much sadder mid life crisis later on.

Thanks again vfr
