OXYDrive CST HT 36V 13Ah electric bike conversion kit

Featured Replies

A couple of mistakes in the listing. You need to add the wheel size unless you have both versions.

Also, it has 18 levels of pedal assist: 3 power modes, each with 6 speed/power levels.

OXYDrive CST HT 36V 13Ah electric bike conversion kit

Will make someone very happy at only £650. These retail for £799 on Oxydrive's website ;)

Hope this does better than the Woosh BPM kit we sold yesterday, the buyer didn't read that it was a 350w motor and for that and the reason that they were not happy with the quality of it is returning it, so that will be up for grabs soon.

It's a really polished looking kit. If I wasn't after a mid drive for my next build, then I would have snapped it up myself.

Hi Fordulike,

I have couple of incomplete 250w BBS01 kits that will be going on eBay soon. Two motors and assorted parts.;)

I guarantee that it will sell at that price by the 7th May.

Have you gone and bought yourself a psychic octopus? lol

I have something similar, but it gives a bit more certainty.
ebay is full of cheap kits, £400-£500 are the norm, not the place to sell a £630 kit. I reckon it won't go at that price.
We'll see who's right. I wouldn't have made that statement if I wasn't sure about the certainty.
there are two reasons for that: one, bmsbattery is the bellwether - their 09 sinewave controller, display, PAS, brake levers and cable harness kit is of similar specs sells for $85. Wholesale trade price for the kit is about $75. Add to that kit a BPM motor wheel and 13AH 40 cell battery - you come to about $500 - that's the price ebay traders pay. The difference between a bmsbattery of similar specs and the oxygen is mainly cosmetic. Two, you'll need a good donor bike to justify spending £630 on a kit. Add the two together, you'll be spending north of £950. Few self builders will want to spend that much money on a bike that is essentially a looker rather than a beast, ergo the number of potential buyers are only tiny few.

Good logic, but life is never logical otherwise we'd all be riding round on the Woosh Big Bear LS.

you have something up your sleeves, haven't you? do you know the buyer?

When somebody you know and trust gives you a cast iron tip on some shares or a horse, would you take the bet?

I looked and looked and then looked again some. And found a front wheel kit at 479€ in Spain. Kits in France (the same ones) are at least 800€. I could jump through hoops and order from China but not having much money I want the protection of a European guarantee.

For £650 I can have a demonstration Matra folder with a brand new battery from the local e-bike shop...

Aha - but. Bafang BPM and CST motors (the 160mm diameter versions) are, apparently, basically hill-devouring beasts which make mincemeat of ordinary 250w motors which one sees on most off-the-shelf hub bikes and almost all cheap kits. Apologies for the mixed metaphor.

I read and read and read some more and... as I can still pedal up the hills that are on my route apparently a little bit of assistance is all I need to just take the edge off the effort required. My destination city is as flat as a pancake so the motor will be turned off there.

On the way home the worst case scenario is that I have a steep ramp to climb for about 2km then it is all down hill. Other route is up hill down dale, nothing scary. And the road to the supermarket with the trailor is not very steep either - on the way there more so than the return journey.

Yes thanks to you lot I have been doing my homework.

D8veh was right;)

I'm stuck in the bedroom now. My head has swelled so much, it won't fit through the door.
