Hi everyone. My name is Paul Marshall, I am retired and 68 years young. I bought a Cyclamatic Plus Pro last Year and had a really enjoyable experience with it. I learned to manage the power so that I could go out on all day ventures with a fellow cyclist (using pedal power only) he is some 20 years younger. I must add that we not only investigated roads but more off-road than I was really prepared to do. Off-road her weight on the stern was a problem at times but hopefully this season I will use more appropriate tyres.
Would like to hear some more positive feedback with this cycle, there seems to be a consensus that after 14 months the cycle is basically scrap. I know there are a lot of scratch builders and survivors out there and I would like to meet or be in contact with you - The Cyclamatic is not that bad, just needs more TLC than most bikes. By March 2015 I am looking to replace the rear tyre, any constructive advice would be appreciated ( there is so much negatives on the Internet that makes the thought of attempting such a engineering revolution, impossible)
Look forward to hearing from like minded members. You can contact me direct at literking@gmail.com

There's loads of good info on Cyclamatics, including how to change a tyre, on the Amazon Forum:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cyclamatic-Power-Plus-Electric-E-Bike/forum/FxMA2EZUIYYZ24/-/1?_encoding=UTF8&cdAnchor=B001O7WO5C&cdItems=25&store=generic

There's loads of stuff here too if you use the search tool. Cyclamatics are good bikes and should last many years. The batteries are a bit over-stressed at only 24V, but there's loads of cheap replacement ones if you know where to look. Don't get one from Sports HQ because theirs are over-priced.

Hi Paul and welcome
The cyclomatic is not scrap. If it runs, and they do its a cheap bike.
It isn't the greatest bike though. Keep using and enjoying it.
When it finally gives up It is upgradeable, search this site.
Otherwise there are better bikes but few that are cheaper.
Ps break your email address up and your name on a public forum, I don't want my Nigerian cousin to work with you not me as I have nearly recovered the gold :-o

Schwalbe Land Cruiser tyres are cheap and cheerful at about a tenner.

Or you could double the bike's value by fitting a Schwalbe Marathon Plus, better puncture protection and a choice of tread.

Agree with D8ve about being able to upgrade the bike only factor is how much or little you eventually want to spend as components separately can be expensive, ebay is a very good source. For instance two examples; I picked up a Carbon mtb frame in excellant nic for £89 and a complete new set of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes for £30. On the other hand a new bike ££££ ???.
