Spotted today, I,ve been riding the South Downs Way in installments, driving down Mill Hill Road from Upper Beeding towards Shoreham, (narrow road with passing places). Bike coming towards me pulled over to let me past, had to be an e-bike, we don't mind stopping, you don't get that from game-faced roadies!
As we passed each other, saw it was a rather smart Haibike... but towing a neat little trailer with what looked suspiciously like an aerofoil on the back, .... getting extra lift from an aerofoil... now that's got to be cheating!
On reflection I re-evaluated my accusation, to R/C modeller carrying his kit up to the Downs for a flight.
Full of admiration for guys like that, the easy option would be stuff in the back of the car, it's certainly no easy ride up that hill. I'm sure the more people see our bikes used in different situations, people will start to think how they could use them.
Set me wondering how many other different applications people used their bikes for?
Eddie...excavating river beds we know about!
