I meant to post this yesterday.......
Got up rather reluctantly at 6.30am ready to see the Olympic torch pass by my door in Ilminster.
I am not really into much sport but I felt this was a 'once in a lifetime' event.
I am so pleased I did.....the atmosphere was amazing, everyone was so happy both spectators AND the participants, the drivers of all the support vehicles were waving and shouting good morning to the crowds...music playing, our church bells pealing......even the Met Police motorcycle outriders were waving, wearing big smiles and saying hello to the crowds ! !
So, if you get the chance to see it, and support all those special people carrying it, then do....it certainly put a big smile on my face which lasted all day
