It's best to replace both the controller and the control panel together. because when you buy an LCD screen on its own, you can get problems with software and firmware.

So, is there a model you can recommend?
because I tried a screen and the image came up but the speedometer didn't work. Is it possible that the engine does not have a speed reading feature?

Look at the hub motor cable and pull it a part (usually about 20cm from the hub axle) , if it has nine pins then it has a speed sensor inside.
Your issue of no speed showing is likely an incompatibility issue .
We recommend KT (Kuenteng ) brand of controller and display (choose from about 7 or 8 versions that will work), if you aren't good at soldering then for the few extra dollars it is best to buy the PAS sensor and brakes to go with the kit so it is all plug and play.
Topbike kit .com or their store on AliExpress.

yes I checked and there are 9 pins. Isn't there a set with direct socket without staining?

We recommend KT controllers because they have a very nice control system. You can find them on Amazon and Ebay, or get them from Chinese sellers, like Topbikekit. You must buy the LCD with it. If you don't have much money, then the Brainpower one is OK - probably similar function to what you already have, but with LCD. Again, you must buy the controller and LCD together.

53465I understand, but the controller I have is exactly the same as a KT controller, with ANANDA brand outputs etc. I wonder why the screen didn't work. If I try a KT supported screen, I wonder if it will work because if I change the controller, it is very expensive.

It's not the same as KT. It has different software and firmware in the controller and the control panel. Also, it's probable that the connectors are wired differently, so you might have to cut them off and join the wires directly. The motor cable will be OK, but the pedal sensor could be different. The KT controller will have the right connector and cables for its LCD, but the brake connectors and throttle (if you have one) might be different.

A KT controller will not work with an Ananda screen. Normally Ananda has Bigstone screens, but there can still be software differences and different communication protocols.

There is no Ananda screen. They buy their screens from different suppliers. Bigstone is a common one (C500 screen). It will probably be expensive and won't work if it has the wrong firmware in it. The CPU in the controller has to be programmed to work with the screen. Your screen only has basic functions. An LCD one might tell it to do things that it doesn't understand or can't do. That's why we normally recommend to replace both the controller and screen. For the same price, you can buy a much better KT controller with LCD, pedal sensor, speed sensor and throttle. You don't need brake switches with a KT because it has a very fast reaction time. With the KT, you can set whatever speed and power you want.

Controllers may look similar because they do and are all generally made to a similar size , that is where the simalarites end. All OEM bikes with branded controllers are a bit like bosh and closed bike systems, they charge a lot for replacements via a dealer network because one can't buy the spares direct from them or via third party sellers because they simpky won't supply them.

No brand makes their controllers compatible with any competitor, the only compatibilty we see is the standard wire sequencing of the nine pin julet motor cable with hub motors .

The only decent brand that is OEM and a third party seller for DIY is KT(Kuenteng brand) , it is one reason why most of us guys use and recommend them.

Also, when buying this controller, there are values like 15A 22A. My motor is 36v 250W, I wonder how many A I need to get.
