should just push in to those two holes or has the rubber lugs broken off ?

only other option would be strong glue.

Using a bit of silicon spray/rubber grease, and a micro screwdriver. Spray the area or the lug , then gently use the screwdriver to ease it back in place. Work around in a circle and they should go back into place.

SW might have some KY jelly that you could use.
Well he is a slippery sod.[emoji529]

if you also heat it a bit with a hair dryer will help pop it back in place ;)

She has been twice..
How about this then .. I went to gp with a prostate problem which was the tamulosin was lowering my already low blood pressure and making me fall over. Doc had retired so I got a shiny new lady doctor who looked in her book and prescribed a hormone tablet. I asked about side effects and she revered to her book and said.. yes, your hair might grow back. Unlikely as I have been hair free for 40 years..[emoji316]

washing up liquid is a good rubber lubricant
With the advantage in many circumstances that it can be washed off. Whereas some of the other suggested lubricants tend to stay forever and make it easier for the thing to come apart again. Not sure that is feasible here - intentionally or just due to ordinary use.

this was my concern so, rubbed the two plugs on a bar of soap and managed to get them in.. eventually.. Nor over confident tho so need to be careful

dont have prostatitis which is an infection. Did have once years ago and docs thought it was cancer so had a biopsy.. Wow!! Anyone had a Prostate Biopsy? Dont put it on your bucket list!
My condition is BPH and it affects all old men to some degree although most either dont notice or pretend its not there. Some say Cycling makes it worse but for me an hour in the saddle makes things much easier.
