Can you imagine what it's going to be like in a few years time when all these things and more are in mass production and people come to this forum to ask which bike/motor system is best?

yes, it will be very difficult to reply with any certainty. Having more choices means you are more likely to be left without support within a few years. Factors like ease of servicing or proprietary parts will become more important than maximum torque or noise level.
