IMG_9877.JPG IMG_9876.JPG Does anyone know where I can get hold of OEM Scott e bike sprockets? Other than trying them directly. I've tried using after market ones but the don't provide the same clearance/spacing for the motor cover. For reference this is the standard 17T

on some frames the sprockets need to be so it clears the frame and motor case why i want some spacers made so you can bodge ur own as there expensive to get fixed off set ones specific to a bike make.

i think i seen that b4 so will have a look but it will be expensive why do you need a new one ? as it dont look that worn out tbh.

Cheers I will look more into the Haibike ones. E bike shop only sell them to you if you have bought a bike from them so I shall check out the link you sent. Pricey for what they are!

Mainly I want to downsize the sprocket to a 16T but if I can't do that I am just planning ahead for when the original wears. It won't last forever. I did have a chainguard on but now run the silver ali Bosch ring. This is the setup

Thanks for the links, it's a Scott E genius plus though so not sure the chainstay protectors would fit. The Miranda link is a good shout, I will contact them to see if they sell without the chain guard as that is no use to me and would hopefully bring cost down.

The amount of crud and crap that got caught between the original guard and the bearing when I first used the bike with it seemed more bad news than the locking ring I have now. My view atm minute is that the OEM guard jams the muck in there (until the crank can't spin in some cases) and the silver ring leaves it more exposed but it sheds the dirt better. Others on here seem to rack up miles without the OEM guard but I will see how it goes. Do you know whether the Hai bike ones are the same offset as on the Scott for sure?

no that sprocket is for that bike only thus why it is off set and so expensive.

a haibike one might work but it also might not ill take a pic of my 16t so you can have a look.

Cheers, btw just realised what you meant about the bearing, got the wrong end of the stick. I agree needs covering, I'll get onto that pronto

id say that will be no good as it is way closer than the one you have atm so you will be stuck with the oem one you have.

gubbins has the same bike and no cover so if you find a fix let him know ;)

I'm tempted to order one of the guards you linked and see if it will fit with a bit of persuasion.

Thanks for the pics, I'll whip the 17T off tonight and give it a measure. Now wheres my measuring keyboard....:D

another option is to get a dongle as i run 18t and 15t dual sprockets.;)

 with the dongle can you alter assistance levels to help with the gearing ratios then? I've only had an ebike for a few weeks so using a dongle is not something I've read much into yet. Sorry if this is really obvious but apart from derestricting them I'm in the dark still as to what can be achieved.

yeah the haibike one will be way to close to the case to work looks like the one you have is as far away as possible for the chain line.

Yup. Bit of a design flaw really imho. I've contacted Miranda to see if they will split the sprocket and bash guard. If not I think I'll be going dongle sooner rather than later. Problem is I've entered Hamsterley Beast and I'm concerned my battery won't last the distance on standard power let alone derestricted
