Not sure if this is possible? Child seat and max weight

Hi all,

Just joined- a super simple plan to get an ebike has led to information overload so hoping someone can help!

We have very little room at home, so I'm looking for a folding ebike. I'd also like something I can put a child seat on for my 2 year old. However, that causes some issues weight-wise; I'm about 110kg so we'd need something that can take 130kg of weight.

Can anyone recommend something that would work for all of the above? I looked at the Radmini 4, but wasn't sure that would be ok for UK law (and I don't want to have to register/insure anything). Also looked at folding bikes from woosh, wisper and juicy but I've no idea whether they can take a child seat or the weight.

Budget is up to £2k- thanks for anyone that can help!

I think I saw Woosh post recently that the Rambletta would take a child seat ... not sure up to what weight. Contact them and they will give an honest reply.

I can't see anything in the Radmini specs that would make it illegal (that's not a promise). It is very heavy at 30kg (not including rack). Lots of fully speced (rack, lights, guards, stand) ebikes are quite heavy at 25kg. The Rambletta is 20kg (including rack)

Thanks for the help. I think my legal confusion on the Radmini was because a lot of the reviews I checked mentioned a 750W motor, but that’s the US version and the EU version has 250W which should be fine.

I’m not too concerned about the weight. The reason for wanting folding is more about storage than taking it on public transport.
