I've never ridden a batribike but they do have a good reputation. Also take a look at the kudos, woosh, and juicy offerings. Good dealers with a strong following and don't buy anything until you have tried everything you can. Welcome to the forum

That bike has been around for a while with a few minor updates. It has electrical stuff that's pretty well tried and tested, so you're unlikely to get problems with it.

On the minus side, it doesn't have disc brakes. Personally, I wouldn't have an electric bike without them. Those rim brakes wear quickly and give inconsistent performance. They just about do the job, but there's other bikes in the same price range that have disc brakes. Also, the styling is a bit dated.

For the same price or less, you can get much more modern looking bikes. Have a look at the Kudos Cobra and the 11Ah Oxygen MTB (£999) that has a cassette motor. Mudguards and racks are easy to fit and would add about £30 to the cost, so don't let that put you off.

The motors on all these bikes are adequate, but if you weigh 100kg or more, they'll struggle on hills. There's bikes that have motors that give more torque in the same price-range.

The Granite Pro is a good bike to start with. Its specifications are fairly basic, heavy, 24.5kgs and looks expensive for what you get.

For similar specifications and lighter weight, check out a few

For £599, you have the LEBC Vita Uno.

For £650, the Green Edge CS2:

and for £995, this remarkable Ansmann F15 with excellent warranty.

Those are just a few choices. If you are heavy or where you live is hilly, you may want to look for a more powerful setup.
The main thing is that you should try as many bikes as you can to find out which one is best for you.
