Hi guys
you have all been extremely helpful and informative recently
wonder if anyone can shine any light on this problem
the front hub is very noisy
so I have replaced both outer bearings
it has plastic gearing inside ( so would not of thought it was that causing the noise)
I could be wrong though
is there any other bearings buried deep inside the windings that I might of missed ?
I don’t want to pull all apart just yet until I get a bit more information

thanks

It might help to mention the type of noise. Graunching or screaming with vibration is normaly caused by an electrical problem, not mechanical.

Were the hubs outer gearing and the nylon gears lubricated at all ?
If not a good healthy dollop or synthetic grease might be the answer, it mustn't be petroleum based otherwise the nylon gears will be damaged.

Hi neal
it was pretty well greased up
I guess o will need to strip it and apply some good thick stuff
just didn’t think with them being nylon ( plastic gears they would make such a noise
so I am right in thinking there is nothing else really that can be causing this horrible noise ?
