No power, display shows empty battery, but battery fully charged

I charged the battery up from half full to 4/5 on Weds or Thurs. Thurs evening rode it into town, approx 3 miles, no issue. When I came to ride home a couple of hours later there was no power, the display showed empty battery and 0 speed while riding. I tried switching it off and on again (I work in IT ;)) and also pressing the button on the battery - several times. It is dead. It's a Pedelec Impulse, Kalkhoff, approx 6 years old. The place I bought it folded during the pandemic and I haven't been able to find anywhere locally (Brighton & Hove) that can service the electrics/computer, although Baker St bikes have helped me out a few times. Any thoughts?

Clean the battery contacts. What does the battery health test show when you do it?

Thank you. I'll try that, although struggled to get the battery off yesterday. I'm not sure how to do a battery health test, although it was new last year.

Health test is in the manual. The method depends which battery you have. The seat tube one is push the button for 5 seconds, then the number of LEDs shows the health.

These are probably the only people that will fix it if you can't do it yourself:

Aha. OK, battery health is fine, thank you - I'd been doing that :)
Thanks for the contact, I'll try them. Just spoken to a couple of people and apparently no-one services Impulse motors in the UK any more.

If you have tools, you can drop the motor to check all the connectors that sit in the frame above it. That gets you a close look at the battery contacts and the solder joints too.
