I am 56 years old and live near Cambridge. I have an obsession with electric bikes. I think my first was about 2004 (I think) when I had a Giant Lafree 24v in bright yellow! I then bought a Chinese cheap one and bent the frame (Ladies) in two days as I was too big for it! The dealer changed it for a Eco Tornado with me paying a load more. Then a Giant twist that died due to a lot of use. Then a second hand Powerbyke that shook to bits. Then a Smarta from the Cambridge Electric shop. The Smarta was a fine piece of kit. (they sell a better version now. I sold that for a Volkswagen (non electric) mountain bike and said no more electric for me! This Friday I take delivery of my new Kalkhoff Tasman 8 HS (new but a 2015 model) I have always wanted a Kalkhoff but they always cost more......so the story continues.
