Yes, well done Froome and Sky. The team got their acts together again after their bad last stage and helped him most of the way; and it was just about enough.

Quintana will be tough in the years ahead though. He is a better climber than Froome and lost out this year early in the windy north when he got the wrong side of a split. The French seem likely to make the tour more mountainous and with less time trials in future so Quintana will be hard to keep behind.

Froomey seemed to be suffering from a mild chest infection,he was coughing and spluttering at the finish on Fri + Sat unless that was just the effects of mountain top finishes at high altitude . Maybe then he wasn't at 100% over the last 2 days? whatever, his performance was truly fantastic
