Could I use one of the spare break sensors (not required) to power up the power gauge on my bike?

No. If I understand correctly, you have something that indicates battery charge level, in which case it needs battery voltage. The brake sensor connectors are only 5v.

Have you got the wheel in the forks the right way round, i.e. cable entry on the left hand side?

If wheel is right way round then you will need to swap one pair of phase wires, and try it very gently to see it improves.

It's a brushed motor isn't it, in which case there's only two wires. Swap them over.

Hi D8ve, correct, its a brushed motor. I will swap the blue and yellow wires over to the motor to get things moving (in the right direction!) thanks again! I am hoping to get the PAS working over the weekend too...
on the bike there is also a switch which has an electrical connection, it has "E" "OFF" and "S" which you can overide the PAS, I think it only needs a 2 wire connection, could I connect this up via one of the break controller connections?

the controller has POWER, MOTOR, THROTTLE, PAS, BRAKE 1 BRAKE 2.
I need to power up POWER (done), MOTOR (done), THROTTLE (done) PAS, POWER BAR and PAS SWITCH
Can I use the spare brake wires to power up either the power bar or Pas switch?

Can you describe what each of "E", "off" and "S" does?

If there was a simple two-wire on/off switch for the PAS, you could cut the the red wire to the PAS and join each end to the switch. It would help a lot if you could show a picture of what you have.

The power bar will take one or two wires from the Battery depending on whether it shares a common ground with the throttle or PAS. If it has two wire, they have to be the right way round.

Hi D8ve, not sure what the switch does, I know it seems to turn the PAS on and off though, although it begs the question why the 3 options?
I will try and take a photo today of the additional things I need to seemingly wire up. (PAS, POWER BAR and PAS 3way SWITCH)

I have identified my final 3 connections what they do and where they go.
1. PAS on BIKE Yellow, Red, Black. The PAS on the controller is Blue, Black, Red = which do I connect together?
2. SWITCH from Bike has just two connections, Red+Blue. I only have a 3 wire brake connection from controller to use which is Yellow, Red and Black = which do I connect together?
3. POWER BAR on BIKE is Red+Black, I only have a 3 wire brake connection to use which is Yellow, Red and Black = which do I connect together?

Hi guys, sorry that last post wasn't very clear;
I have identified my final 3 connections on the bike, what they do and where they go....
1. PAS on BIKE thin Yellow, Red, Black wires. The PAS option on the controller has thin Blue, Black, Red wires = which do I connect together?
2. SWITCH from Bike has just two wire, thin Red+Blue wires. I only have a 3 wire (brake connection?) from controller available which has thin Yellow, Red and Black wires = which do/can I connect together?
3. POWER BAR on BIKE has thin Red+Black wires, I only have a 3 wire (brake connection?) to use which is thin Yellow, Red and Black wires = which do/can I connect together?

I Always black to black, red to red, signal to signal(whatever colours).
2 try yellow and black to blue and red - doesn't mater which way round because it's a switch.
3 The power bar takes battery voltage, so red to battery red and black to battery black on the controller side of the battery connector.

Hi D8ve, All looking good, the PAS seems to be connected nicely, just about to wire up the PAS switch which should be ok.... I tried the battery gauge and as you suggested previously as theres only 5v given the gauge shows empty, could I spur off the main RED and BLACK battery connections from the battery gauge wires to get accurate gauge reading as this would be direct gauge from battery?

Yes, that's what I suggested. You have to join the wires on the controller side of the battery connector or main switch otherwise it'll be on all the time and drain the battery, though slowly.
