newbie first post power trike

hi, I have been given a power trike. but no user manual / instructions.
when I turn the key a red light flashes.
I have opened the battery pack and found 3 12v batteries so have charged them separately but still get the 1 red flashing light.
can anyone tell me if I'm missing something.
want to make sure it works before I stress over fitting the mounting point to the wheelchair.

Hi Kalvin,
They are going to need some more details. Make would be useful, also some pictures of the motor and the controller.
