Hi,
I’m Kurt, 52
I’m living in Oudenaarde, Mater, known from the Ronde van Vlaanderen, with lot’s of nasty little steep Hills, and too much roads with cobblestones(how I hate those little b@stards...) probably still dating back from the time Julius Caesar conquered our region
Love to ride a bike, but those hills are too much for my knees...and dont’t like to sweat while commuting .
Finally decided to purchase a cheap Decathlon hybride, and converted it to ebike, with a rwd yose power 350w/Lishui kit.
A 36v/10.5A downtube battery, I bought separate from eBay.
So far, so good, I know it’s cheap, but very happy with it.

In the long term, looking to upgrade it to 48V , as long as the gears and copper windings from the hub don’t complain
Looking for a more adjustable controller/display, I like to have full control in the current region, (don’t like the preset settings from my Lishui)

Any thoughts on which controller/display to buy? And how ’bout those dual voltage controllers? (So I can choose between a 36 or 48v batt on the same bike ? )

I don't think you'll need a 500w Bafang. When you run your motor at 48v, it'll be 30% more powerful, which is enough for most people. KT controllers are the best. They do a 17A 36v/48v one, which should be perfect, though it's a bit larger than the typical 15A controllers. They also do a 20A one the same size, but that's closer to your motor's power limit at 48v.
