Im new to the site and some interesting reading already today. I have been a cyclist for years and my old road bike is still sitting in the garage after many years service looking spic and span. I still give him a polish and keep him in peak condition but I must confess I haven't taken him out of the garage in over a year now due to my complete conversion to my speed Pedelec.
I took the plunge back in March 2017 and bought a couple of Stromers for myself and my wife. I had recently moved to the channel islands for a new job and was living on my own commuting back to the UK for the first year. I didn't want to join the already overcrowded roads having to add another car to the congestion so started looking for an alternative. Didn't want to don my Lycra every morning to cycle in so started researching heavily into electric bikes. After a lot of research and test drives and even flying back to the UK a couple of times and travelling across the country to various shops, I went back to my first choice and took the plunge on a Stromer ST2S and ST2. They are marketed as alternatives to cars and self-classed as commuting e-bikes and that exactly what I was looking for. In short they have been nothing but amazing in the two years I have owned them. Just fantastic machines that haven't missed a beat and give us extended commuting power and range. We have taken them to France a few times now and toured with them there over the course of weekends and they have always performed without an issue. So i can answer any questions on ownership that anyone needs to know.
