Hi, thanks to the mods for letting me aboard..
When I was a kid in the 70's I always wanted to put an electric motor on my bike. When my motor-scooter was stolen recently, I picked up a no-name Chinese bike from eBay for £60. I replaced the batteries with a pair of SLAs as it just didn't seem to be worth sending any more than a few quid on it.
I've since bought a Byocycles Chamelion from eBay for £130 which had a controller fault. That's running nicely now and gets me around hilly Brighton town very nicely.
