Browsing Topbikekit I've come across a new display:-

Has anyone got one of these yet? It is a very compact design, with a colour screen, USB port and apparently waterproof.
I'm not sure how easy the buttons will be to work with gloves on and although it says "user parameter settings" I'm wondering if that means the full range of P and C settings that the LCD-3 has.
I haven't been able to find any manuals online, but I might not be looking in the right place.

Thanks for the links. I've managed to download the user manual, but the other link keeps timing out on me at the moment.
It seems to be an updated version of LCD5, so doesn't display watts, but appears to show ambient temperature. The user manual doesn't give any instructions for C settings, but the pictures do show them, so I have to assume they can be set. Perhaps there will be an expanded version of the instructions in due course. It does look a much more straightforward settings interface.
So, do I need a colour display or USB port? Probably not. I avoid riding in the rain so being "waterproof" isn't a priority. This is all musing for my second KT conversion. Having already bought an LCD3 for my first install I'll probably go with that again.

I am just looking at the TBK spec in your link. It just refers to the cable and julet connector as waterproof. I am just wondering if the display is any more waterproof or has any better sealing or a higher IP rating than the regular LCD3 or LCD5 with similar plugs and cables.
Perhaps I missed something......

On a slightly related note, I've discovered that the Julet waterproof cables on all KT displays sold by TBK are 45cm long. They list models with SM plugs separately with 180cm cable length. Other vendors (eg PSW) sell one model with a Julet cable at 22cm that comes with a 160cm SM extension lead to make up to 182cm.
You might think this isn't very important, by in my case I have the handlebars quite high and ride smaller frames due to shorter than average legs. I prefer Julet connectors, so the more common 22cm cable is too short to plug into a 4-in-1 cable without having a festoon of cables in front of the handlebars. I like to "double" up the display and throttle cables to the gear cables with spiral wrap. The TBK 45cm is actually a bit too long, but at least I can wrap the excess around the handlebars. In this respect the Lushui C500 display cables (31.5cm) were more convenient for me.
I realise there may not be many others who share my OCD for tidy cables , but if you do this takes a bit of careful consideration. I recently bought a KT-LCD3 from TBK - lucky as I didn't realise the differences until afterwards.

Does TFT mean it can be seen easily in sunlight?

I've installed an LCD9-L which has a throttle built in on left side. LCD9-R has it on right side. It does save some room on a crowded handlebar. I've also done an LCD11, another small color unit. Both units show watts and volts which I like to see.

Hard to see either in sunlight, especially the small font size. Buttons on the LCD11 are stiff and hard to press.

Still like the LCD3, although it's easy to break the screen being in the center of the bars. Have broken three,

Depends on the brightness of the backlight and viewing angles. My circa 2002 Solarism TFT monitor (brightest in the whole world at the time) was visible in bright sunshine, had 800 nits. At night, I had to turn it down to 5% brightness to prevent my eyeballs burning. There's no mention of how many nits this new gizmo exudes.

When I was at primary school, the nit nurse used to come and check us for them. If you want to get checked, your local GP's surgery should be able to arrange it.
