New kit problems with PAS sensor

Hi all, brand new to the conversion kits but have read a number of posts on this forum. I have recently got a kit (preowned) and struggling to get working properly.

So 1500w rear hub 48v 13ah batt & 22A controller.
I cannot get the hub to spin faster than 15kmh(walk speed?).
The battery is full and meter reads 52v, the throttle does control speed but at assist level 5 it maxes out lower than i expected.

Does the controller require the 5v pulsing feedback from a PAS sensor in order to switch to faster speeds?

I do plan to get one ordered if required, but does anyone know how to bypass so i can bench test and ensure it runs at higher speeds fine? Linking out maybe ? Or setup a 5v inductive proximity sensor to simulate pulse?

Any advice appreciated
Thanks in advance

It doesn't need the pedal sensor connected to work properly. For anything else, it's impossible to help without knowing what you have.

You've answered my question with that (i didnt know). It runs slow so will check controller settings again. Ive got a new thumb throttle but potentially could be an issue with the controller then. Will feedback with any findings, cheers nontheless

Tested on new controller and turns out the 1500w motor is faulty.

Battery and current controller drive wheel no problem. Did some tests on the hall sensors and two out of three appear faulty. This means the wheel has been running slow speed or occasionally stopping altogether.

Ill look into replacing the hall sensors in the hub first, anyone with experience changing them ?

Thanks
