@MattHall - I said nothing about time travel. By your post, I seems to me that you do not understand how particles acquire mass and charge.

Surly a combined G-tech that as you peddled cut the grass, trimmed the edges and cleaned the carpet.

You could do away with the battery and electric paraphernalia and it could be human powered; they could make a bicycle, scythe, edging shears and broom.

Or am I leaping ahead here.

My belly has stopped acquiring mass since I got an ebike.

Juicy Sports Bike v Gtech Bike

Yesterday I bought my new Juicy Sport Bike from their friendly trade centre at New Mills. I had over the past two weeks tried Gtech's new electric bike. Unfortunately (or as it proved to be fortunately) i had to send back the Gtech bike as the 21" frame was just too large for me. However the electric bike experience for a non cyclist was great and I thought that it was a shame that I could not get into a comfortable riding position on the Gtech bike. How lucky did this turn out to be. Having now decided that I should continue to look for a more suitable electric assist bike, I found that Juicy Bikes has loads of good user reviews and that their headquarters for only 1 hour from home. Research on the Internet finished and fencing a look at their Sports Click, I set off for Juicy Bikes. I was greeted by Sarah the owners wife and immediately given a cup of coffee and an offer of a test ride on the new Juicy Sports Click. What a revelation! I had thought that Gtech's bike was good but delivered a somewhat harsh and uncomfortable ride. The Juicy bike was light years better, very comfortable, more power, easier to ride and looked fantastic compared to the Gtech bike. I was bitten and quickly rode back to Juicy headquarters to conclude the sale. On returning home with my new Juicy bike fitted with pannier bags and a ultra cool leather sprung seat I had took it on its inaugural ride using the same route I had done on the Gtech bike. The difference was simply amazing, gone had the harsh riding experience or the hard work riding up the steep hills that surround my home, the Juicy Bike delivered an amazing ride, tackling the hills in its stride, the suspension smoothing out the bumbs in the poor road surfaces and putting a silly grin of satisfaction on my face. I had been lucky, if the Gtech's frame at 21" hadn't been too big for me I would had kept it in ignorance but now I am a proud owner of a much more superior bike and for roughly the same price. Thank you Juicy I will update the review in the next month or so but for now I really recommend any one considering buying an electric bike try a Juicy Bike, you will not be disappointed

My mistake about the time travel, I confused two posts, sorry.
Re the mass and charge, I said it would be my last post WRT FLT.

My Gtech clicked onto 3rd bar (out of 4) on the battery meter after 15 miles yesterday (to and from work use).

I normally ride around 16.5mph at a comfortable pace on it on the flat (just out of e-assist), there's a hill both ways where it helps out nicely and setting off from traffic lights is a breeze.

It also coped very well with windy conditions where I'd be flagging on my mountain bike!

Will put a proper review up after another week but I'm deffinitely keeping it!.

Some people have been comparing it to full suspension, chain drive geared mountain bikes but that's not really the point at all; it's designed as a low maintenance no nonsense commuter and that's exactly why I bought one.

32 miles and battery half full now, seems to be well suited to my riding style!.

It free wheels very nicely, saw 22mph down a gradual incline today with not pedalling required to maintain it. This maybe why my battery range has been so good. Saying that I had to pedal up the same incline to get home again!.

I set the Carbon Belt tension this morning using the Gates App, it was slightly slack (ended up at 55hz).

Went for a quick ride down the street to check and ended up doing an 8 mile ride, found the worst hills I will encounter in York and it went up no problems at all.

The trick with steep hills is to slow down to 12mph where the brunt of the motor torque is produced, it then takes little effort to cycle up them :).

I've been on Max Assist now for 40 miles and still showing 2 bars out of 4 on the battery.

would you be able to elaborate a bit on the "gates app" or are you just checking to see if people are taking any notice of your posts?

There's an application for iPhone or Andoid smart phone from Gates to set the carbon belt tension.

Basically you pluck the belt like a guitar string and it measures the pitch or frequency of the belt.

You adjust the belt to get the recommended frequency so the belt is at ideal the tension. Ducati use the same system to tension their cambelts.

I just put "Gates carbon drive" into the search on Google Play store and it came up as the first app on the list.

It was free as well which is a bonus!.

You can buy tension gauge as well but the app worked perfectly for me!.

50 miles down now and still on half battery (looks like fortnightly charges will do!).

Just treated myself to a Suntour NCX seatpost.

Amazed at the range and it still pulls way nicely from traffic lights etc.

I'm over the moon with it for commuting on, makes it a pleasure to ride to work rather than a chore!.
