Lol we are all getting old and can't cope with change

As an asside I have an Android phone. Am I right in assuming that this runs better with this or do I need to download an app ?

Once we've finished with the upgrade, there will be iPhone/iPad and Android apps available from the App Store/Android Marketplace. They will both be free to download.

and doesn't occupy the full screen width:cool::cool:
It doesn't, no. But we may get a full-screen version developed if members want both options.

A simple alternative you can use now is holding down control and using the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom in/out - works quite well!

It's the full screen width for older members like me whose eyesight isn't what it was, leading us to use lower screen resolutions.

Neat, it also seems to then stay even when you move around the forum :D

PS there seems to be an error in that a pop up box appears reprompting for user authentication when you hit the home tab, though maybe its because you are still upgrading ?

I'm getting that every time I enter the site, despite being logged in. I've tried deleting the old pedelec cookies but no change.

Yes, there will be a few strange things happening no doubt!

That box on the main screen will be a slideshow showing featured articles, news, promotions, dealers etc.. I'll load an example up shortly.

Well done Russ.

As I am in IT, I appreciate that these upgrades are not simple but you can be sure that the perdantic amongst us will help report any strange things as and when we find them :p

It's basically trying to load up some software from the test site which is password protected. I'll fix it shortly.

Thanks Jerry!

It's quite hair-raising as you're never certain an upgrade which you've tested several times will work in a live environment. Not only that, the chap who developed the new layout is in Australia so he had to stay up most of the night to assist.

Yes, the admin control panel is very much the same. The template and code behind the system is completely different though and has caused quite stir since its release. We wanted to upgrade in early 2010 but it just wasn't stable enough hence the long delay.

Yes i read that you couldnt just port designs over. I was considering updating when the hype was around before its release but then i found out you have to pay for it as a separate entity as they class V4 as a different product to V3 which some would argue it is but... at the time there was no discount for existing users. That disappointed me.

Hi John,

What web browser are you using ? I found with Chrome I only get the option to link to an image when I create an article, but in Firefox I also get the option to upload. I'll look into this as I think it is something to do with vBulletin.

Hi Russ, I'm using Internet Explorer 9. BTW, screen width is not a problem when using my netbook, only on my 22" desktop screen.

Cheers,
