Hi everyone!

I am keen to pick myself up an e-bike but am very new to the idea. I really don't know what I'm looking for and am reluctant to drop thousands on something that may not be ideal.

I found an ebike for sale on Indiegogo for 60% off the RRP which falls within my price range. (link below)

It looks pretty good to me for the price, but like I said, I'm no expert and was just wanting a second opinion?

I have found reputable e-bikes online but just not sure I want to drop thousands of dollars just yet!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Web page keeps crashing for me. But it looks like this is the design we would like to make. Not a comercialy ready to go system.
For a thousand you should be able to buy a working bike.
And buying a cheap bike and fitting a kit is another wat to go.

The home page is a brute to load.

Fairly standard rear hub motor bike, but it has what looks like an integrated 8ah battery.

Fine if that's all you need, but it won't take you very far.

Hello John,
It would help the forum to make suggestions if you supply some info.
Location/area terrain for use, distance uasage in miles /km.
Bike stile, weight, height , fitness.

By the time you add on delivery costs and duty, it'll be about £1000, for a bike with a Q100CST motor and a 8.8Ah battery. You can get buy that kit for about £500 and stick it on your own bike., or get a complete bike from LEBC with a guarantee and a guarantee that you'll actually get it for £600. I wish the guy well with his venture, but I'd say that there's a lot of better options.

Fairly basic looking bike, just for road and path cycling. It will be well restrictive if you try taking it off road, which you may want to when you discover how the assistance makes off road riding so much fun!

A typical 70km range is plenty for a pushbike, I ride mine on high to max assistance, and its still giving 50km range, quite honestly, thats a long way in a single ride unless you are a super keen cyclist, but then why would you buy an electric bike!!!

Geoff.
