I have no doubt expensive, well equipped torque-sensing mid-driven bikes like that are fantastic for hot blooded mountain biking, but quite honestly, for general very hilly road use and the rest of us, easy to pedal cadence sensing Bafang conversions fit the bill with a far lower price... People complain (highly configurable, usually) BBS01B etc. conversions are ugly, but they wouldn't be if frames were designed to accomodate them as snugly as that scaled-up drone motor DJI has repuposed. How much could a big batch of similarly crafted attractive custom made frames possibly cost for kit mid-drives? Probably a lot.
